A future short term shelter and support system under The BLOC Ministries. Built for runaway youth, unplaced foster youth, and youth aging out of foster care.
Named for Jake

Jake's Place carries the name of Vaughn's late brother Jake. Purple, teal, and gold from the Jake's Place mark carry that tribute. The heart of the house is restoration, compassion, and a door that stays open when youth have nowhere else to go.

Shelter is the start. Presence, skills, and purpose keep youth moving forward.
1
A safe place tonight for runaway youth, unplaced foster youth, and youth aging out of care.
2
Mentorship and emotional support so young people feel seen, protected, and known by name.
3
Life skills, stability, and URISE workforce pathways that turn crisis care into a new start.
Who finds a home here
01
A door open for young people on the street who need somewhere safe tonight and a plan for tomorrow.
02
Shelter and steady support for youth waiting on placement, so they are not left without care.
03
A bridge for youth exiting foster care who need housing, guidance, and a community that stays.
Inside the house
Youth receive presence, emotional support, life skills, and workforce preparation through the URISE Initiative.
